I was here for a wedding. Right at the Michigan thumb crotch. Or whatever you call it. Very nice. I had to get weekend parking which was like 9 bucks. I was only there about an hour and a half. There were probably a thousand ladybugs flying around. It was like a pandemic of ladybugs. Very nice memorable experience. I did not have a chance to explore but my ladys parents camped there a few weeks prior and really enjoyed it. Seems like a great place to spend a weekend camping.
We come here as often as possible. I love the splash park in the summer. Play equipment is clean and safe. Beautiful views and trails. Very good for family entertainment.
Great location but terribly neglected, unfortunately. The beach was so dirty with no shades for a long distance.
We love the nature center here for the wildlife exhibits. The kids especially like the occasional live turtle or salamander in a tank. I enjoy watching the birds outside from the bird room. The beach is just beautiful, the marsh pond has a nice dock to experience it, and the nature trails are nice. We enjoyed the playground. The splash park looks like a blast, though we were there in cold weather when it was off. Camping is available across the road.
Great place to visit. The additions throughout the year have been great for making this a rememberable place for family and friends to keep coming back to. More big events would be nice. They try hard to keep the beach clean. Lots to do for all ages that love the outdoors, the recreational pass is well worth the money.
